Coventry and Hull have crossed paths many times in the Championship over the past two decades, sharing tight, physical matches. Their meetings often produced late goals and one-goal margins, and Coventry's home record against Hull in recent seasons has been strong.
Two newly promoted sides met, but it is Hull City who have made the stronger Premier League start, winning their opening two matches. Coventry, meanwhile, remain without a point after their long-awaited return to the top flight.
Across 1,118 votes, Coventry City earned a clear majority with 63%, while Hull City received 37%. The poll therefore showed that fans decisively wanted Coventry City to come out on top in this Premier League fixture.
Coventry’s strongest backing came from the United Kingdom, United States, Mexico, Spain and Pakistan, demonstrating support across Europe, North America and Asia. Hull drew its strongest support from Ecuador, Chile, Australia and Tunisia, reflecting a geographically diverse following across South America, Oceania and North Africa. Coventry held the larger overall fan preference, but both clubs attracted notable support from several regions worldwide.
