Palace and City have shared several dramatic Premier League meetings. Selhurst Park has produced some of City's most bruising away days — including a famous 2-0 Palace win in 2018 that ended City's unbeaten league run. City still hold the overall edge, but Palace's home form against the champions is one of the most respectable in the division.
The result has major implications at both ends of the Premier League table. Crystal Palace remain bottom of the league, with the defeat adding to their difficult start and increasing the pressure on the Eagles. Crystal Palace drew their strongest backing from India, Israel, Sri Lanka, Romania and Bulgaria. Manchester City were most strongly supported in the United Kingdom, United States, Mexico, Spain and Ecuador. The geographical spread underlines both clubs’ global reach, with Palace finding notable support across South Asia and Eastern Europe, while City’s backing was prominent across Britain, North America, Spain and South America.
